As in years past we will be having the Forest Service on site to chip the wood from the fire mitigation efforts you have performed on your lots.   The Forest Service has asked us to remind you that they are not here to chip the trees you have cut down to clear your lots in order to build your cabins.  That wood should be hauled away by the property owner.  The purpose of the Forest Service is to aid the community in keeping existing structures safe. The primary goal in fire mitigation is to remove all high density vegetative fuels.   The date scheduled this year is July 21st - 23rd. Please try to be ready with your small piles stacked on the side of the road with the larger stems towards the road by July 20th.
