Important FIRE BAN - Please Read!
Posted on Jun 17th, 2021

Legacy Mountain is enacting a ban on all campfires and open flames including charcoal briquettes, tiki torches and the like. Only propane stoves or grills in a location void of any and all flammable materials can be used.

Legacy Mountain, as well as many areas in Utah, is under stage 2 fire restrictions.

1. No open fires of any kind.
2. No smoking except within an enclosed vehicle, trailer or building.
3. No fireworks, tracers, ammunition or other pyrotechnic devices.
4. No cutting, welding or grinding metal in areas of dry vegetation.
5. No operating a motorcycle, chainsaw, ATV or other small internal combustion engine without an approved and working spark arrestor.

The above rules can be accessed under UtahWildFire.gov.

We all love the beauty of our mountain home and cannot be too careful with fires this year especially.

Remember not to drive or park off road vehicles in dry grass.  Engines can be hot and easily start a fire.  We have several cabins being built at this time.  Owners please remind your builders to be very careful to not create a spark by digging, etc.  We have many rocks in our soil that could create a spark if hit just right.

There may be times during the year that County, State and Federal Fire Officials will require the implementation of fire restrictions.  These fire restrictions will be supported and posted by Legacy Mountain HOA Board.  Once fire restrictions have been lifted by the restricting agency, Legacy Mountain HOA Board will the determine and post when the date lifting the restrictions in Legacy Mountain will be.

Fines that will be imposed for non-compliance:

Fire in an Approved Fire Pit-
1st Violation $250.00 Fine
2nd Violation $500.00 Fine/and report to Fire Marshall.

Fire in an Unapproved Fire Pit -
1st Violation $500.00 Fine
2nd Violation $1,000.00 Fine/and report to Fire Marshall.

For questions or concerns, please contact Legacy Mountain Board Member Kirk Gamble 615-981-4867.

Thank you,
Legacy Mountain Board of Directors
